Dental Imaging

It is a radiological diagnostic method that aims to create a three-dimensional (3D) image of the area to be examined using x-ray.

Conventional dental x-rays have long been used in diagnosis and treatment planning. However, 2-dimensional x-rays are insufficient for diagnosis and evaluation. Dental volumetric tomography (DVT), with its 3D images, provides the opportunity to make clearer and more accurate planning and measurements before surgical procedures (implant, buried tooth operations, surgery of cystic structures, etc.).

Dental Tomography (Dental Tomography) is taken in our clinic.
Ankara ÜmitköyDental Clinic

Dental Tomography Usage Areas;

-Implant planning (Determination of bone thickness, height and width).
-Before the implant application, guide plates are prepared for the relevant area; construction of implants and implant-supported prostheses in a single session (CEREC CAD / CAM System. (SINGLE SESSION DENTISTRY)
-Exact determination of the location of anatomical structures adjacent to the surgical planned areas.
- Impacted wisdom tooth surgery planning. -Determination of the location and size of cysts in the maxillofacial region.
-Trauma cases.
-Imaging and measuring root canals.
-Detection of bone and root fractures.

Advantages of Dental Tomography

-Imaging of areas not visualized in panoramic and periapical x-rays.
-More detailed diagnosis and treatment planning.
-More accurate treatment plans with reduced risk of complications.
- More detailed examination and measurements of bone tissue and soft tissue.

Usage areas :

IMPLANTOLOGY

Implant planning and retrieval
Determination of bone thickness and tissue status
Determination of distances to the mandibular canal or sinus floor

DENTO-MAXILLO FACIAL SURGERY

-Jaw cysts.

-Imaging of important anatomical structures before and after surgery.

-Cleft lip and palate patients.
-Trauma cases (bone and tooth fractures)
-Imaging of joint TMJ.

ENDODONTIC

-Detection of formations in the pulp chamber and root canal that cannot be detected by traditional radiography

-Examination of the root tip and its surroundings

-Evaluation of internal and external root resorptions (dissolution)

-Revealing root cracks and fractures that cannot be detected with traditional radiographs

-Endodontic surgery planning

-Following the results of endodontic treatments

ORTHODONTICS
-Shaping the roots.

-Anatomical situation, relationship between teeth.

-Periodontal ligament (ankylosis).

-Resorptions

EAR NOSE THROAT (ENT)

Hard tissues inside the ear can be examined in 3 dimensions. The devices placed in the ear after surgery can be viewed. Anatomical structures such as the cochlea and small bones inside the ear can be viewed in 3D.
-
Planning before implant applications

-Evaluation of hard tissue dimensions and quality

-The location and distance of anatomical formations adjacent to the implant site

-Determination of implant dimensions

-More safety and less surgical procedure time in complicated cases

-Post-surgical evaluation of implants

-Increased patients' confidence

CEREC and Orthophos It provides relief brought by excitement and confidence both in our clinic and in our patients.

TWO SCAN VOLUMES (See everything – time-efficient approach to diagnosis)

Depending on the indication, a small volume of about 5 x 5.5 cm and a standard volume of 8 x 8 cm aligned to the mandible and maxilla may be sufficient. Accurate patient positioning below 5x5cm is unreliable; More than 8x8 cm means more time is required for diagnosis – without any added value for dental practice.

On the one hand, ORTHOPHOS ORTHOPHOS Dental imaging ankara, as Akademi Dental Clinic, we provide dental imaging services in our facility in Ankara Çayyolu Ümitköy region.
