Prosthodontic Treatment
Prosthetic Dentistry is a field of dentistry that provides restoration of teeth that have suffered excessive material loss and replacement of tissues lost due to tooth deficiencies. The main purpose is to maintain the health of the oral and surrounding tissues as a whole and to regain lost function and aesthetics.
Prosthetic applications include fixed or removable treatment options depending on the condition of the missing tooth.
CROWN COATING
When tooth tissue loss occurs that is too large to be treated by filling, the teeth are restored by making crowns. The crown (veneer) can cover the entire surface of the tooth, or in some cases, it can be made to cover ¾ or partially around the tooth. The procedure is performed in a single or 2-3 sessions, depending on the material of the crown to be applied to the tooth, its location and the physician's choice. It is done with a cement suitable for the material from which the crown is produced. is bonded to the tooth. Depending on the selection of the material from which the crown will be produced, aesthetic expectations, biological and mechanical requirements, metal alloys, zirconium and aluminum supported porcelain, or full ceramic materials (lithium silicate or lithium disilicate) can be used. In our clinic, crowns for single or up to 4 members are generally made in a single session with the cad-cam cerec system (see single session dentistry). Again, with the Cerec system, inlay-onlay fillings, laminate crowns, implant-supported crowns and bridges can be performed in a single session.
We achieve excellent results with metal-free porcelain crowns (IPS Empress 2, In-ceram, Cercon, e-max), especially on the front teeth where aesthetics are important. If the remaining teeth are weak or not sufficient to support a fixed prosthesis, removable partial dentures are used. These; They can be clasp, precision retainer or overdenture prostheses. In case of complete loss of teeth, total prosthesis is applied. Or different types of alternative prostheses are applied using Dental Implants. Implants placed in the jawbone are pure titanium screws and are used to replace the missing teeth. The cutting of the teeth adjacent to the missing teeth is prevented or patients who cannot use their removable prosthesis are offered the opportunity to re-make a fixed prosthesis.
KRON BRIDGE
In case of single or multiple missing teeth, the teeth adjacent to the toothless area are reduced in size, the prepared one-piece bridge is glued on the reduced teeth and the missing tooth or teeth are replaced. Although placing implants is our first option in eliminating tooth deficiencies, in cases where implants cannot be applied, missing teeth can be corrected by making a bridge. The material from which the bridge will be produced can be selected depending on the area where the tooth is missing (anterior-posterior). Metal, zirconium, aluminum-supported porcelain, or full ceramic materials can be used in bridge construction, as in crown construction.
ORAL DENTAL JAW SURGERY
All surgical procedures such as simple tooth extractions, impacted wisdom teeth surgeries, jaw fractures, cyst and tumor operations, root tip resections, implant surgeries, and jaw joint treatments are performed in our clinics. In addition, diagnosis and treatment of jaw joint problems are also performed.
